Founded in 1955, Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Co., Ltd. is one of the large-scale backbone enterprises under China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. The company is located in Huangpu District of Guangzhou City, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao. The transportation is very convenient and the natural conditions are unique. From 2006 to 2009, the company was successively rated as "Top Ten Economic Benefit Units" and "Excellent Performance Units" by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation for four consecutive years.
